Stopped by this winery to check on some contract paperwork.
This winery is just outside (south) of Lizzano. This is a cooperative, meaning, growers from the local area provide the grapes that is used to make their wine. Mottura uses this facility to make a Primitivo DOC, because a Primitivo DOC has to be made within the confines of Manduria. Once the wine is ready, it is transported to Tuglie for bottling by Mottura.
