Photos from Pelješac Peninsula, Croatia Wineries – 2025

Trip Date:

June 2025

Wineries:

We had the opportunity to visit some wineries in the Pelješac Peninsula, a major wine growing region located north of Dubrovnik, Croatia.  The primary red grape that is grown here is Plavac Mali and the primary whit is Bura Rukatac. Plavac Mali is related to Primitivo (grown in Puglia) and to Zinfandel (grown in California).  They are descendants of an ancient Croatian grape variety called Crljenak Kaštelanski.

Here are the wineries we visited:

Grgic Winery
Matković Wines
Milos Winery
D’Vino Wine Bar
